REPLACEMENTS FOR OEM HEAD AND TAIL LIGHTS; FOG AND DRIVING LAMPS; SPOT LIGHTS; REAR LAMPS; INTERNAL ILLUMINATION AND DC/AC POWER CONVERTERS; UNDERNEATH LIGHTING; SIGNALING AND WARNING LIGHTS; MAGNETIC PLATE PORTABLE LIGHTS
(LIGHTS & LIGHTING AND POWER SUPPLY)
HEADLIGHTS & TAIL LIGHTS: Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Headlights and Tail Lights may be replaced with other with different look like smoked glass or chromed interior in a clear glass, or more powerful with HID (high intensity discharge) or LED (light emitting diode) lights. Also Tail Lights can be darkened.
FOG & DRIVING LIGHTS: Also with the help of Light Bars, Bull Bars, Grille Guards and Head Ache Racks, can be added Fog Lights and Driving Lights, to improve the visibility under harder conditions. Fog Lights give an ampler pattern and may be white or yellow; Driving Lights give a narrow pattern and are white. On any case, a beam power of 100 Watts should be desirable for best performance.
SPOT LIGHTS: Spot Lights are mostly used at slow speed or with stopped vehicles, to illuminate objectives which are not in front of the vehicle; they may be attached, with magnetic mount or portable, wired or battery powered and manually or control operated, which also may be wired or remote.
HI-FIVE, REAR LAMPS and BOAT LIGHTS: In some cases Front Roof Top Lamps (Hi-Five) are used when towing, or Rear Lamps are added for driving in reverse during the night, like in boat ramps or unlighted areas. Also boats may have marine portable lights.
INTERNAL OR PERIPHERAL ILLUMINATION, POWER INVERTERS AND AC/DC OULETS: Some commercial trucks or trailers may need an internal illumination for working inside them; in this case is of extreme importance to keep low ampere consumption by selecting proper lighting devices, to avoid battery drainage. Some of those vehicles may also need a Power Inverter and Outlets, to deliver AC voltage from the DC voltage source of the truck battery. Also lighting can be added to boats or underneath of vehicles, for a different look.
STROBE, SIGNAL & WARN LIGHTS, HORNS & SPEAKERS: Government and commercial vehicles frequently need Strobe Lights or some other Signaling or Warning Lights, sometimes together with loud Horns or Speakers (go to Warning Devices). Some of these lights may be portable and have a Magnetic Plate and a plug for the cigarette lighter.
PORTABLE & MAGNETIC REAR LIGHTS: When towing a stranded vehicle, portable rear lights with magnetic plates are normally attached to it and electrically connected to the tail lights or the trailer output of the towing truck.
